Day 1: Arrival Delhi

The Golden Triangle Tour with Tigers starts in Delhi, the Capital of India, where a member of the Custom Tours India Team will welcome you. While going to your hotel in your air-conditioned car you will be amazed to see the hustle and bustle of this city. Depending on your time of arrival, you can either relax at the hotel or you can start exploring the city as the car and driver are at your disposal during your entire trip.

Day 2: Delhi

Start the day in Old Delhi where your tour guide will escort you to the Red Fort and Jama Masjid. You can enjoy a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk where you will wend through narrow lanes of market stalls featuring everything from antique silver jewelry to wholesale spices. You can proceed to the Sikh Temple where you will see how volunteers operate a community kitchen that provides free food to visitors. Day 3: Delhi to Agra

Then meet your tour guide who will walk you through the Agra Fort where Shah Jahan was imprisoned by his son and allowed to gaze at the dome of the Taj through a tiny window. Day 4: Agra to Ranthambore enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri

Start your day very early with a guided to of the Taj Mahal at sunrise. Have your breakfast at the hotel and then start the five-hour drive to Ranthambore National Park, with a stopover at Fatehpur Sikri. As an option, you can instead enjoy a train ride from Bharatpur to Ranthambore. Upon arrival at the park, check into the hotel to relax and watch the stars come out.

Day 5: Ranthambore

A safari through Ranthambore National Park is an adventure to see Royal Indian Bengal Tigers. You might even spot the elusive tiger named Dollar after the dollar-shaped stripe pattern on his right flank. Morning safaris depart at 6:30 am. And if you wish to see more wildlife there is an afternoon safari that departs at 3 pm. Safari schedules vary slightly depending on the time of year and typically last for three hours. Mornings can be cool, so wear warm layers of clothing.

Day 6: Ranthambore to Jaipur

After breakfast you may visit the Ranthambore Fort and then continue your journey to Jaipur, the beautiful Pink City. Relax for few hours at the hotel and in the evening visit Chokhi Dhani, a Rajasthani themed restaurant with local folk music, magicians, and a traditional puppet show.

Day 7: Jaipur

Your guide will take you on a city tour where you will see the Hawa Mahal surrounded by the extensive bazaars of the Pink City. Then enjoy an elephant ride to the beautiful Amber Fort, its walls winding incredibly over the nearby hills. Next tour the City Palace, which continues to be the residence of the Royal Family of Jaipur. Complete your day tour at Jantar Mantar to discover the world’s largest sundial and other incredible instruments that were built by ancient astronomers. If you wish, you can explore Jaipur’s extensive bazaars where you’ll find handcrafted fabrics and blue pottery.
